LOLITA

Book Jacket Design

The Aesthetic Movement design team submitted entries to an online competition sponsored by architect and blogger John Bertram soliciting book cover concepts for Vladimir Nabokov’s classic novel Lolita. Both A/M-designed covers were included in Lolita: Story of a Cover Girl, a book collecting the best designs submitted.

IL CAMPO

Packaging Design

Aesthetic Movement designed branding and packaging possibilities for Il Campo, an organic, packaged foods line concept by Bella Cucina. A/M offered a series of different approaches for the Il Campo aesthetic, each of which sought to represent the spirit of the brand by using visual references to the farm-to-table sensibility.

DESIGN & BRANDING

Moon River Chattel began as a salvage business, refurbishing one-of-a-kind furniture. The Williamsburg store remained at the forefront of the industrial American salvage movement selling vintage doors, tubs, and other singular pieces. A/M reimagined their existing branding and designed a new logo that would capture the spirit of their much-loved and longstanding aesthetic while making it visually appropriate for their entree into the modern world of e-commerce. A/M also provided web design for the e-commerce website.

poster design

Aesthetic Movement designed a series of movie posters for this 2011 psychological thriller from Nick Nehéz. The filmmakers decided to utilize four of the designs — each of which visually captured a different element of the film’s disjointed narrative — for four distinct marketing purposes.
