Marisa Mason

A native of Santa Barbara, Marisa began working with leather at a young age after being given a deer hide tanned by her grandmother, and first made jewelry using old Navajo, Zuni and Mexican jewelry scraps her parents had collected over the years. She developed what would become her current line while living in Mexico, where limited access to materials inspired her aesthetic of subtly dramatic styling using simple everyday supplies. Working today from her studio in Oakland, California, she creates handmade pieces with a rugged, coastal style.
